The Salt of The Earth
Pastor Fee teaches us that “God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers.” Jesus was telling his disciples that they shouldn’t be surprised when people mock them, persecute them, and lie about them. Jesus would face such treatment. Later, he explained to his followers that they should expect nothing different.
